Hailing from a Jamaican family background, she was heavily influenced by the likes of reggae legends such as Spragga Bendz, Lady Saw, and Sean Paul, who served as her musical inspiration. Drawing from these melodic sounds, Gia K has created her own unique blend of Reggae music infused with hip hop and R&B, affectionately known as "California Reggae."

After honing her craft, Gia K released her debut album, The Introduction of Gia K, in 2010. The album featured her hit song, "All of the Above," which quickly gained popularity throughout the west coast. With a passion for music and a determination to succeed, Gia K went on to promote her music on various platforms, ultimately landing at #3 Top Reggae Artist on Reverbnation and winning iHeartRadio's Local Artist Love in Las Vegas for her single, "Crown."

Gia K's talent has earned her a multitude of performance opportunities, including appearances at renowned events such as San Francisco PRIDE, The 4th annual Dabathon, and the opening slot for Ziggy Marley's Mandalay Bay Beach show performance in Las Vegas. She has also collaborated with several popular artists in the Las Vegas and Los Angeles hip hop scene, including HighDro, resulting in the release of a seven-song Album "Uplift" (2016).
